Sowing Indoors
Sow seeds thinly in a shallow, short, pre-watered row, lightly covering with a little soil. Keep moist as dry conditions impair germination. Allow 2.5cm (1in) between plants. Small sowings made every few weeks will ensure a continuous supply. Keep the bed moist at all times. Alternatively sow into pots and containers placed in a large saucer of water.
Transplanting / Gowing On
When large enough to handle, gradually accustom young plants to conditions outside for 2-3 weeks before planting out into their final cropping positions 2cm (1in) apart when the danger of frost has passed.
Aftercare
Keep well watered in periods of dry weather, regular picking will ensure continuity.
